ABOUT
I’m a psychotherapist with an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. You may be experiencing some form of emotional difficulty, distress, anxiety or depression. You may have experienced loss, such as bereavement or a relationship breakup, or may be going through a life transition such as the menopause.
I began my professional career as an osteopath in the late 1990s. Fascinated by the way stress manifests in the body as physical pain, I developed a special interest in the connection between mind and body, mental health and wellbeing. Having worked in the NHS, voluntary sector and private practice, I trained as a psychotherapist and began my practice at Mid-Sussex Counselling Centre.

EDUCATION
-
MSc Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, Birkbeck College, University of London
-
BSc Osteopathic Medicine, British College of Osteopathic Medicine
-
BA French, University of Sussex
My training is psychodynamic which uses concepts based on psychoanalysis, and provides a non-judgmental space where you can talk about whatever is on your mind. We will work together to gain insight into your difficulties and explore how they might link to past experiences, sometimes rooted in childhood. Gaining insight can help you to know yourself better, and can improve your wellbeing over time.
I offer some concessionary rates to those on a low wage, benefits or studying. I work in person at Hurst Therapy Centre in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, and online and on the phone. I speak English and Spanish.
